What to Expect
on Your First Visit
Your first visit to our clinic is all about us understanding your needs and identifying the source of your current issue in order to direct us towards providing the most effective treatment. During this appointment, your physiotherapist will conduct a thorough evaluation, reviewing your medical history, current symptoms, limitations, and future goals. They will assess your movement, strength, and flexibility to develop a customized therapy plan. You may receive initial treatment or exercises to start your recovery journey, so be sure to wear loose, comfortable clothing. We’re here to support you every step of the way!

What should I wear for my physiotherapy session?
Try and have comfortable, loose fitting clothes to wear that allow easy access to the area of the body to be treated. We can also help with the provision of medical gowns, towels and shorts to maintain your privacy during the session.
Do I need a doctor’s referral for physiotherapy?
No, our therapists will provide a thorough assessment and can usually commence treatment without a physician’s referral. Please note however, that some insurance plans may require a physician’s referral in order to authorise funding. Check with your insurance provider for details if you are unsure.
